I wish more parents were involved in the Troop. Or I should say, I wish more "new" parents could get involved. But how do you entice?

This is my first blog! I am initiated.
I am pleased to see that we have a "blog" spot where we can spontaneously put out thoughts, ideas and comments regarding BSA Troop 126. Very cool! I am Rebecca Behar-Johnson, the activities chairperson and the wife of the Scoutmaster, Michael Johnson. I have grown to love the Scouting program and I have always loved the young men in our troop. Some of these boys have been together since the second grade as tiger cubs . My son, Charlie has come up the ranks from a tiger cub in Pak 126 to Life Scout in Troop 126. So, scouting has been a part of our family's life for about 9 years, and counting...Brad Hill, Rob Fitzsimmons, Sean Gray, and Charlie Johnson have gone through the program together since the second grade.
I also have two nephews in the troop, Noah Russell, who is my sister Anna's son, and Tony Sees, my brother in law Andy's nephew. So, he is my nephew by marriage, I guess... Well, however the technicality, Tony is my family.
I have grown so fond of all the young men in our troop, that frankly, they all feel like "family" and I am proud of each and every one of them!
